karaoke

when u pronounce the word 'karaoke', what pops in mind would be a room with huge speakers, a pair of microphones and a widescreen TV. did u know that the term 'karaoke' comes from japan? japanese have habits where they would simplify 2 words into just one. for example, 'remote control' would be 'remocon' as the japanese pronounce which consist 'remo' from 'remote' and 'con' from 'control'. simple isn't it? so for karaoke it was made up from 'kara' which means empty, and 'okesuutora'(orchestra).

from wikipedia, 'karaoke' is a form of interactive entertainment or video game in which amateur singers sing along with recorded music (and/or a music video) using a microphone and public address system. The music is typically a well-known pop song minus the lead vocal. Lyrics are usually displayed on a video screen, along with a moving symbol or changing color and/or music video images, to guide the singer. In some countries, a karaoke music video with lyrics and the option to disable the original voice track is called a KTV. Due to its English pronunciation, it is sometimes incorrectly spelled "kareoke". It is also a term used by recording engineers translated as "empty track" meaning there is no vocal track.

i enjoy singing. i really do eventhough i now i have know talent on it. yup ABSOLUTELY none at all. people always thought that u need talent to sing. of course that is WRONG dude. it maybe true IF u r aiming for professionals but in KBOX or 'karaoke box', it doesnt matter! just sing with all your heart and dance if u feel like doing so. its fun! Karaoke can also be a practice for professionals to practice their voice. remember, most of the professionals may start their carrier by singing horribly. in the toilet, the bathroom, class, at the field, anywhere! their dedication towards singing is incredibly high.

opss~~ im getting sleepy ere...well, to wrap it up, 'karaoke' comes from japan, and after years of development karaoke has reached other parts of asia. im dead sleepy. chow dudes n babes. daa~
